Not a web designer? No problem! When you register with SitterSource you can create your own blog at sign up (or later on - whenever you feel like it) and start writing your own posts right away!

Blogs are a great way to record/share your babysitting experiences or anything else you feel like writing about. Blogs are basically diaries that are online. You can either share it with the world or choose to keep it private and all for yourself.

Earn SitterPoints

You can easily earn SitterPoints throughout the site by participating in the community and earn prizes for top holders! Here are a few different ways you can earn points:

• Participating in discussions on posts, articles, forums, groups, etc.
• Creating your own group, changing your group avater, starting a topic, ...
• Contributing articles, tips, and/or ideas to the SitterSource community

To make life easier, you can bypass registration and connect to SitterSource with your Facebook account.

You can also choose to stream your activities from here to facebook and vice versa. This makes updating things a breeze so you don't have to update "what you're up to" twice! (coming soon)

Make new friends and connect with old ones

Of course the main thing you would expect at a social network site is to...network with others! You can add new friends, visit random members, and send messages to each other. Who knows, you might just become great friends with someone who was once a "random member".

Activity stream... you will be able to see what the community is up to through the activity stream or you can narrow it down to just your friends, group, forum, etc. You will have your own personal activity stream and will be able to save your favorite streams to your "favorites" - making it organized and easier to find!

Contribute to the community

Got a great tip you would love to share? When you register at SitterSource, you can compose a draft of an article you would like to contribute to the community. All articles will need to be approved by the admin. We will work with you one on one and help you get your article published here.

Crafts... there will never be an to craft ideas. We know you have a unique and creative craft that you would love to share with others. Once you join, you will be able to contribute different crafts and share with other sitters.
